Design and build beautiful, flexible, standardized and governed APIs in minutes.
API Pro was born to solve the rampant and hazardous issues that enterprises face when managing software integration and related dev processes. After spending nearly a decade embedded as a top consultant in Fortune 500 companies and government organizations from McDonald’s to the DOJ, our founder, Aaron Weikle, saw that the processes being employed to develop and integrate apps were inefficient, bug-ridden and framed around bad design principles. Aaron set a goal of finding a way to assist development teams by simplifying, standardizing and managing their API development and integration efforts. Having built a name for himself and his flagship company MS³ as a top MuleSoft consulting firm, hitting #112 on the Inc 500 list this past year, Aaron engaged the MS³ team to bring to market a groundbreaking tool for API build and management. This tool is known as API PRO.
API Pro was founded around the architectural shift to microservices. As more and more specialized services are developed, APIs have emerged as the dominant way for those services to communicate with one another. At the core of API design is the API contract which defines how providers and consumers will interact. API Pro offers a clean and elegant solution for designing, organizing, standardizing and governing APIs and their contracts.
API Pro is designed to accelerate development time by using a form based approach and eases the barrier of entry often associated with learning a new mark-up language. With API Pro there is no need to research or verify syntax. Users have the ability to generate their API contract in three widely used mark up languages automatically – RAML, Swagger, and API Blueprint. There are a host of issues with API design that API Pro has developed features to address (and more to come!)
The API Pro team also saw an opportunity to promote development best practices by giving users the option to automatically generate a suite of tests based on your API design that developers and quality assurance team members can use to aid in API implementation and testing.
The API Pro team also recognized a need for large organizations to have better control over API design. API Pro allows organizations to create governance rules or standards which all APIs designed under must adhere.
