Moldova DevCon 2025 took place on October 10-11 at Arena Chișinău, being the largest developer event in Moldova. Over two dynamic days, we brought together 1000 participants, 20 speakers from 10 countries, and industry leaders from Amazon, IBM, Wix, and other global tech companies for an unforgettable experience of learning, networking, and celebration.

A Conference Built on Community Values

From the pre-party on Thursday evening to the Grand Finale and afterparty on Saturday, Moldova DevCon 2025 embodied its core principle: “Where developers meet.” The event kicked off with our inaugural pre-party at Marlène Cocktail Bar, setting the tone for what would become a weekend of meaningful connections and shared passion for technology.

The conference was guided by three simple House Rules that shaped every interaction:

1. Connect. Share. Inspire.
2. Ask questions. Challenge assumptions.
3. Respect humans and wine.

World-Class Technical Content

This year’s speaker lineup delivered deeply technical sessions that participants could implement immediately. Highlights included:

• Jutta Eckstein on The Dark Side of AI
• Tobias Nyholm (Eneba) on Building Really Fast Applications
• Ziv Levy (Wix) on Using AI for Music Mixing
• Ilie Circiumaru (IBM Research) on Resetting Your Career After IT Burnout
• Alexandr Gorodețki and Eugeniu Popov (maib) on Temporal and system resilience

The workshops were particularly well-received, with hands-on sessions on Building Internal Developer Platforms with cloud-native tools, IT Sales strategy, and GitHub Copilot drawing full capacity crowds.

More Than Just Talks

New for 2025, we significantly expanded the expo and entertainment areas, creating an integrated space that encouraged spontaneous connections. Attendees enjoyed:

• A relaxation zone with beanbags
• Interactive partner booths
• Gaming corner
• Barber and beauty station
• Interactive photo zones
• Hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge technology

The Friday evening Wine & Tech dinner gave Geek ticket holders exclusive access to intimate conversations with speakers and partners, while Saturday’s afterparty kept the energy high with DJ sets and cocktails, celebrating everything we’d learned and built together.

A Mystery Unveiled

The mysterious Black Box lottery became one of the event’s most talked-about features, with partners contributing to a grand prize that was revealed and awarded during the Grand Finale. The anticipation throughout the weekend added an extra layer of excitement to an already energized atmosphere.

Looking Forward

Moldova DevCon 2025 was a testament to what’s possible when a community comes together with genuine intent. As FusionWorks, we’re proud to have organized this event and to continue championing Moldova’s tech ecosystem. The conversations started here, the partnerships formed, and the knowledge shared will ripple through our community for months to come.

We’re already planning for 2026, with insights gathered from this year’s experience. Moldova DevCon continues to grow not just in size, but in impact, proving that Moldova deserves—and can deliver—world-class tech events.
