HR GLOBAL SUMMIT: Measuring The Effectiveness of Onboarding Programs
On the 30th of March, Anna Șișianu (HR Director at FusionWorks) took part in the HR GLOBAL SUMMIT that focused on maximizing employee retention through effective onboarding programs. This time, HR View & Exchange Global Summit was a 1-day online event bringing together over 1100+ HR professionals and industry experts from all over the world.
Anna shared how different key metrics may evaluate onboarding programs along with helping employees integrate into the organization, make new employees understand their role within the organization, increase employee engagement, reduce turnover, and improve overall productivity. Based on Anna’s experience, she mentioned that analyzing onboarding metrics can help make correct decisions and these are a way to build a strong foundation for employee engagement.
During her presentation, our HR Director put an emphasis on the top 10 most used key metrics and what each one of them means for an organization. Just some of them: Is your Learning & Development metric low? You need to offer more comprehensive training programs. Is your Employee Retention rate low? Focus on revising your onboarding program.
In conclusion, Anna provided some useful tips and tricks that can help organizations. She advised using online tools, incorporating gamification, and encouraging feedback. By tracking and analyzing key metrics, organizations can identify areas of improvement, ensure consistency across teams and locations, demonstrate ROI, and increase employee engagement, and successful organization.
