FusionWorks, Compliant by Default: New Anti-Harassment Regulations Now Official in Moldova

Jan 19, 2026

FusionWorks has long prioritised creating a safe, respectful workplace environment, and we’re proud to say we’ve been following best practices well before they became legally mandated. As of January 1, 2026, new provisions in the Labour Code officially prohibit violence and harassment in the workplace, standards we’ve already been upholding.

The new regulations, approved through Law No. 194 of July 10, 2025, ban all forms of workplace violence and harassment, regardless of how they manifest, their frequency, intensity, or the status of the person committing them. These provisions apply not only to the physical workplace but also to work-related travel, training programs, social events, company-provided accommodations.

Employers with 50 or more employees are now required to develop and implement internal policies for preventing and combating workplace violence and harassment. These policies must include clear, confidential procedures for reporting, investigating, and resolving incidents. Smaller employers must adopt reasonable measures proportional to their size and organizational structure.

The law defines workplace violence as any behavior, action, or threat that harms a person’s physical, psychological, sexual, or economic integrity, including physical aggression, intimidation, verbal or psychological abuse, and digital violence. Harassment is defined as any unwanted behavior that undermines dignity and creates a hostile, intimidating, degrading, or offensive work environment.

At FusionWorks, we’ve already established comprehensive policies and procedures that align with these new requirements. Our commitment to maintaining a workplace free from violence and harassment has always been central to our values, and we continue to foster an environment where every team member feels safe, respected, and valued.
