The curtains have closed on the 15th edition of the Moldova Developer Conference (#MDC23), and what a spectacular two days it has been! Hosted at Tekwill, the heart of Moldova’s tech hub, the conference brought together 16 speakers from 7 countries, turning it into the largest IT event in the country.

FusionWorks proudly took part in this dynamic event, with our very own Nick Shtansky stealing the spotlight. Nick, a true luminary in our ranks, delved into the intricacies of handling complexity in software engineering, captivating the audience with his insights and expertise.

The conference was not just about presentations; it was an immersive experience with three insightful workshops that allowed participants to deepen their understanding of various topics. One such workshop, led by our very own Anton Perkin, provided valuable insights into negotiations—an essential skill in the dynamic world of IT.

But it wasn’t all work and no play. #MDC23 featured two unforgettable parties that rocked the venue, providing the perfect setting for networking, camaraderie, and a celebration of the vibrant Moldovan tech community.

This edition of the conference brought together top industry experts from around the world, presenting the latest knowledge and case studies. Ilie Circiumaru, Solution Architect at IBM Research, Uldis Karlovs-Karlovskis, DevOps Coach from Latvia, Diana Artiom, Senior Consultant at Deloitte, and David de Hoop, Special Agent at Team Rockstars IT were just a few of the luminaries who graced the stage.

A special highlight of the conference was an extraordinary presentation by Manuel Koelman 🏴☠️, Founder and CEO of PIRATE.global, and the organizer of the renowned PIRATE.Summit. His insights added a global perspective to the local event, showcasing the interconnectedness of the tech world.

Workshops led by Uldis Karlovs-Karlovskis and Ilie Circiumaru further enriched the learning experience, covering topics from psychodrama in IT leadership to the intricate details of Post-Quantum cryptography.

As the first day drew to a close, the evening with speakers provided an opportunity to share impressions and build connections. The real highlight, however, was the afterparty—an electric gathering of speakers, organizers, and participants, where the vibrant energy of #MDC23 continued into the night.
