DB Developer

Product Challenges:

DB-related performance optimizations in our applications and the underlying DBs;
• Data warehouse redesign, optimization, and deployment strategies;
• Implement partitioning strategies for our multi-tenanted applications to ensure excellently scalability;
• Implement archiving / deletion strategy;
• Improve monitoring and logging.

Expected outcomes:

  1. Slimmer DB;
  2. Faster DB;
  3. Applications should use the DB more efficiently;
  4. Data warehouse is deployed faster and works faster;
  5. Ownership for certain areas, related to DB, like reporting, dwh.

Requirements:

  • ETL;
  • excellent MS SQL skills;
  • SQL profiling;
  • SSRS;
  • ADO.NET;
  • .Net and C# skills;
  • good understanding of other DB technologies like: document DBs (MongoDB);
  • solid understanding of sharding / partitioning strategies for the different DB types;
  • understanding microservice architecture and splitting the monolithic applications;
  • Nice to have: in-memory search technologies (Apache SOLR), key-value stores (REDIS), graph DBs (eg. Neo4J), experience with Power BI;
